In this trailer, host Shaelyn Fitzpatrick introduces season 2 of “Injury is NOT Equal.” This season, Shaelyn will be sitting down with experts and individuals with lived experiences to discuss the many factors that disproportionately affect risk and outcome of traumatic brain injury (TBI). TBI is one of the leading causes of disability globally and it accounts for 2% of the population in Canada. Each year, approximately 165,000 individuals in Canada are affected by TBI. By 2031, it is expected that TBI will be among the most common neurological conditions to affect Canadians (Brain Injury Canada, 2022).
